This good-natured, Australia-set romance banks on viewers wanting low-effort, formulaic fare that's pleasant, predictable, and easy on the eyes. In fact, A Perfect Pairing is strikingly similar in storyline, tone, and even lead actor (Demos) to the 2019 Netflix title Falling Inn Love. The formula has been improved, though, and Pairing is the more engaging feature, thanks in large part to former Nickelodeon star Justice. She appears in almost every scene and is relatable and charming, though not entirely believable working the farm in perfect hair and makeup. The location is stunning, and the communal cast is affable though thinly developed and largely forgettable.
